The Xkey 360 for Samsung is an Aladdin style mod chip for the Xbox 360, Xkey 360 acts as a bios replacement for your Samsung MS25 & MS28 drives. Using the latest Xtreme firmware, the Xkey 360 will read both NME & Xtreme formatted security sectors. The Xkey 360 is a great solution for those looking for something cheaper then the NME v1.2 in Samsung drives, and also for people looking to use Xtreme & NME security sectors. When using the Xkey 360, you will not have any of the problems experienced with flashing the drive itself. It’s a fool proof solution for the Samsung MS25 & MS28 drives. The Xkey 360 has a socketed SST chip which can be reflashed with the latest Xtreme bios using a flash ram programmer that supports the SST339SF040 chips. Upgrading these chips to the latest firmware is certainly a lot easier then reflashing the drive itself. Another handy feature of the Xkey 360 is the fact you do not have to extract the drives dvdkey. The Xkey 360 will extract and imbed your dvdkey into the Xtreme firmware for you.

There are a couple of other Samsung only chips on the market now, Xeno Lite, Mod 360 to name a few. Why we decided to stock the Xkey 360 over them was because the Xkey is unique in the fact that it is a bios replacement using the Xtreme firmware rather then being another NME clone like the Mod 360 and others.

~Function To Select Between The 3 Different Firmwares~
>>> press "power on" button or "X" button on the joypad from standby mode to choose original firmware (Live/original)
>>> press the "eject" button from standby mode for Xtreme FW (backup games /original games)
>>> hold the "Reboot" button and then press the "power on" button from standby mode to choose X0800 Firmware (connection PC)

- Universal dvdkey installed,much better than aladdin 360 chips (Aladdin 360 chip needs dvdkey be installed by user themselves which is a very difficult and long time job)
- Comes with 2 selectable Firmware, and SST39SF040 is upgradeable chip. so there has 3 Firmware total:
- a. Original Firmware (on motherboard firmware): support xbox 360 live ( online game) and original games / movies
- b. Xtreme Firmware (current version is X3.3): supports Xtreme format and NME format backup games/original games
- c. X0800 Firmware : allow xbox 360 drivers to work under Windows , so that you can make the image.iso directly from the xbox 360 drivers.
- Less wires (3 wires) and 32 points for SamSung drives. (we don't make the chip for Hitachi-LG drives because those drives need apporximate 35 wires , it is very hard wiring job ), it compatible with all kinds of samsung drives) (by the way,NME chip doesn't work well on Firmware 28 drives)
- How to select the 3 firmwares for different function:
